National emblem

You know some people think The wild turkey should be our national emblem. After all, even though the Bald Eagle is regal looking it is a bird that eats dead fish and road kills. However I vote for the lowly squirrel to sit atop our nations capital. If it wasn't for the little squirrel teaching our forefathers to become expert marksmen and feeding them when all of the big game was shot out we might all be drinking tea and eating crumpets.
