Anyone got tips for killing more crows.I've discovered it can be a lot of fun, especially when the ducks aren't cooperating.

Sneek up on them and be very very quite and Boom!!
Joking aside them suckers are a pain in the butt! For years I blasted them with a 12 gauge but that became to damn hard, so now I went and bought that .17HMR and I dont have to quit as close :D
I also have several hand calls and have done some good with them, I still can. I found out on accident my best handcall was a sceery AP-2 I think, them crows dive bomb and circle my head and are going nuts over that call. I need 2-3 buddys when using this call to clean them out or actually protect myself.
I dont know if this is cheating but if you can find out where they roost at about 1 hour before sunset or more then sit under there tree or 20-30 yds back under some good cover and you wearing all kinds of camo and face net then let them have it when they all get done landing!

Don't sound like cheating to me............sounds like a good way to get rid of them......
If we could just do water turkeys that way.......

ahhh yes water turkeys, such a graceful bird, found on nearly every body of water in arkansas by the hundreds. I hate those birds.
I have a buddy with a electronic caller, we use a
crow/owl fight tape. It works great for about 15 minutes then you need to move a half mile or so and do it again.

If you are going to set up in the woods, which I prefer; look for a dead tree or old snag and set up under it. Hide in the surrounding cover and let 'em have it when they come into the clear!!
I'm not opposed to hunting them in fields, but when I do.. I leave the e-caller off and set-up some home-made dekes and call with a mouth caller. Otherwise they come over too high to shoot and get an education that they don't need!!!
I had always thought of them as squirrel and turkey predators... I guess 'cause I live in Arkansas; and this alone was reason enough for me to want to hunt them. But after reading about the duck predation they inflict annually, I have a new commitment to hunting crows!!
