new fish in the ouachita river

I heard the othe day that the agfc has put a lot of smallmouths, catfish and a few other species in the ouchita river between arkedelphia and sparkman. I was wondering if anyone else has heard this.

There has been small mouth in there for years.

Well I know there have been, I guess I said the title wrong. I meant they where putting more fish into the river. A guy who is an avid fisherman told me the the river level goes up and down so often that the fish don't hatch out as well as in other places. So they put a bunch of new fish in the river to help out the numbers. This may or may not be true,the guy who was telling me was just taking a guess as to why the fish don't hatch out as well. But he said he knew for sure they did put the fish in the river. I was just wondering if anyone had any additonal info.
