Sounds to me like they haven't come to a final decision on close-ing it....it said they "tabled" it...doesn't that mean it is in limbo? I give up.....where is Ozark Pool......anyway...I've heard much about it but never been there!~john:confused:

John it is the pool on the river from below the dam at Barling to the dam at Ozark. I snag below the dam at Ozark and man them spoonbill put up a fight, snagged one last year that had to push 60 pounds, I have weighed some that went to 40 lbs and this one was a lot bigger!

John if you hunt stripers then below Ozark is where you need to be. In early to May they come up and feed just after dark like crazy before they spawn can not even snag for them some time the biggest I ever snagged was one that was 37 inches long and had a girth of 34 inches I do not know what it weighed. The Vietenamese and Latioans catch the fire out of them most of the year there. In the late summer and ealy fall can be great on them too here also.

No bull? Vietnamese and Laosians? I better not then.....oh, I know they are friendlies, but it's the ones in my head that bothers me. Are there not any in the pool?

Sorry John did not think about the "friendlies", and yes I have heard that there has been one or two of them take a unexpected swim. There is a guy that snaggs and fishes over there a bunch he is a deaf mute by the name of Harvey and he was reportedly to have tried to gut one of the Vietnamese one evening years ago. The striper fishing is really exceptiopnal there at times, if you ever think of trying them up here give me a holler.

That's a commitment then.....If I see a report about stripers in Ozark Pool....like I have in the past....I'm gonna mosey on over there.......Know what this means: "Toi di dan ca"..........? Toi(I) di(go) dan(catch) ca(fish)! In the yitnamie language.~john:thumb:
