was wondering if anyone had any idea what the crappie might be biting on lake conway early in the morning?? Last few outings have been a bust so any help would be appreciated.

I've heard good things about the crappie on Gold Creek. They're usually good from there up to the pond in Wilhelmina Cove (up the creek a little ways). I'm gonna try out there Saturday morning, and I'll let you know for sure then.

Went over the bridge on Sat. and Sunday at Gold Creek...no boats. Too cold I guess.:smack:

we fished that area on friday and there was a few guys catching a couple every once in a while. All I caught was a cold. I think I am going to hold off until late feb.
The guys on the Crappie sites say they are doing good.:thumb:

Probably are now. What sites do you go to for local reports??? We have been having a hard time figuring out what to use. We have been sticking with variations of chartreuse jigs and have tried crickets and worms. The only thing we haven't tried is minnows. It was just really windy and cold the other day and it didn't look like many of us had anchors we were getting blown all of the place.
