We Were Setting Lines Back In August On The River. We Seen The Perfect Limb Hanging Out Over The Water. We Went Over Put The Line On The Limb With Hook And Sinker. The Hook Wasn't 2 Foot Under Water. We Came Back Next Moring To Run The Lines And The Line Was Not Moving We Went Ran All Lines Came Back No Thirty Minutes Later And It Was Jerking Away. I Was Shocked As To What We Would Find. He Was Only 42 Lbs.......

Trish,way to go! Nice flattie! Did you guys get him in cache or white? Thas the second biggest i've heard caught around here. That big ol whisker rollin up in the water gives ya a surprise everytime!

Yeah It Was Black River Though At Elgin It Was Amazing I Wasn't Worth Nothing Rest Of The Day I Couldn't Take My Eyes Off Of It!!!

Keep on fishing for them kittens and you may catch full grown cat. Nice fish. Here are some of our Flathead Catfish (Appaloosas).

Hey fish did any of those come out of the Petit Jean river? Me and some of my buddies used to catch some small eaters out of the Petti Jean on lines. A bunch of the guys I snag with at Ozark catch some like that every year, there is one guy, Harvey, I think he can smell them never saw anyone snag as many flatheads as him.

No PeeWee they did'nt come out of Petit Jean. They are from Nimrod,Conway,and the Arkansas river.:thumb:

Those places hold some big flats also. Have you ever tried to snag them or fish for the right below the dam at Dardanelle.

Did most of my snagging below Murry Lock and Dam. That was years ago too,too much like work. I've bait fished below Dardanelle ,biggest there was only 20 lbs. I know there are some hogs there waiting to be caught.:thumb:
