2nd batch of catalpa worms

My trees didn't have many worms on them this year during the summer, but they are loaded now with a bigger second batch, so if you know where some trees are, it might be a good idea to check them again.

I've never seen a batch this late!

We were able to get 3 dozen the weekend before last and 2 dozen last weekend. They've pretty much cleaned up my small tree in in my front yard and now they are starting to show on my two taller trees so unless the cooler nights does something to them, there should be some more this weekend. Some years my trees do get a second batch, but its usually during the first of Aug., never this late. Maybe it means a bad winter or something?
