Has anyone been to the Little Red the past couple of week? How's the fishing? Have they been generating?

Here, this is the phone number for generation times at the Little Red.....

Little Red River/Greers Ferry Dam Generation 501-362-5150

Could possibly save you some gas money? Remeber...it takes 2.75hrs for the water to get to Swinging Bridge, and almost 5hrs for it to get down to Lobo. If I recall correctly........wife knows better then I, and she's still at work.

Thanks Scott ... I believe it is about 4 hours for the water to get to swinging bridge, but that may depend on if they are running 1 or 2 generators and if they have them completely open or not

I was just there last Friday, and caught three on salmon eggs. My buddy at work has been fly fishing a lot there this week and last catching them on midges.

I'm pretty sure that when I use to fish the Little Red regularly, that it takes just under 3 hours for the water to come up at Swinging Bridge....

Fished the Dam there Saturday and then again Monday (Labor Day). Lots of people out there. Tried Pink, Orange, & Chartruese Power Bait....every combination you can imagine. Pretty slow compared to what it can be. Had most of my luck on a Gold and Black floating Rapala. They hit it really good, but was tough standing in the middle of that river in shorts

Caught 14 keepers between my wife, daughter and I in both trips.

When flyfishing, try OliveWollyBuggers(non-beaded). Also a OliveWollyBugger w/red tail inserts(non-beaded)....think the red shows the trout that it's bleeding and triggers a strike?

We had a pretty good day below swinging bridge. My son and I caught 47. The majority were browns. Of course I had to out do him 30 to 17. There were a lot of people, but it was a good day. Looks like the browns are getting their spawning colors already. I'm looking forward to October.
