They don't have rides at Six Flags like the ones that I went on Thursday and friday! Like I said earlier, I rode with Rojas on Thursday and then Thursday night I find out I'm riding with Iconelli on Friday. That was a whole different experience in itself!

Rojas was a real nice guy pretty laid back, a couple of years older than me, so we talked about motocross and stuff. We pretty much chit chatted the whole day. He threw a frog 99% of the time in the grass on the south side of the river from Tar Cap up past the power lines about 5 miles.
Let me tell you something. That Skeeter will peel your eyes back, and there is no let-off the throttle for anything. There were a few times I thought my light butt was going to become a projectile.

Iconelli was a whole different experience. We are both the same age and talked the whole day about a variety of stuff. He even plans on coming back down here and duck hunting with me in the winter. He just started deer hunting last year and had a blast. I've never been around someone that takes fishing so passionately and serious, but he is very intense and stays completely focused the whole time he is fishing. Since that Ranger was a little slower than the other boats, we would end up blasting through all of the wakes at full speed behind the other boats. I still haven't been able to straighten my fingers out from white knuckling the seat and grab bar!

Anybody can sign up to ride. I just signed up threw ESPN-BASS. It costs $300 for the two days. You get to go to a banquet on Wednesday and hang out with everybody. You are also entered to win a boat, the winner was determined by whoever caught the biggest fish on Friday (Hackney). I would have had a chance at the boat except for a line break. Thats a WHOLE different story for some other time.

Quack--sounds like you had a good time,,yea aint it fun riding with the dudes..last year I fished 1 in Monroes La and we came back to Felthensal,,2.5 hrs ride if I remember,,about 38 degree's,,best way I could explain it was a cross between riding a bull and being in a Nascar race,,frigging unreal and I am a old fart:smack: then I got to ride with Gary Yamamoto in a 21 ft Legend w/ a Yamaha 275,,man I thought I was gonna die on that ride!!!If you enjoy Ike,,get his book,,fishing on the edge!! A great read on Mr. Ike!!

Hi my wife couins has a new Champion Super 21 with a 250 hp Mercury. It is like 22 ft 6 inchs long and wide . His friend has one with a 300 hp Mercury. They both have every thing you can get on a boat. Both of them are fast!!! Her uncle has a last yr they made them a Cobra/ Viper 21ft with a 225 hp Mercury. That boat will get up and move. :eek: VM

I went for the weigh-in today. Shaw Grigsby did not catch a single keeper today. Scott Rook ended up winning.
