They have been catching some good flatheads and blues on Norfork on jugs. So went and put some some out this afternoon around dark. We baited them with live bream. Hope we catch a few. VM

Hey ,you forgot to mention how big they were. We set out noodles(jugs) here and catch mostly Channels 2 TO 5 lbs each. We use live bream also for bait. We do catch a few Flatheads and Blues in the 10 TO 25 lb range. The biggest we have caught on noodles was 26 lb Blue and a 36 lb Flathead. The last time (3 weeks ago ) we had over 90lbs of fish ( 20lb Flathead and 15 lb Blue) and kids lost another Flathead about 20lbs . We rig ours with about 6 to 10ft of line, no weight, and one big hook. How to yall rig yours ?:thumb:

We try to fish in the 20 ft range we use a small weight and about a 5/0 catfish hook. We use power aid bottles painted orange . And put a piece of gray tape at almost the end of the bottle so you will have a place to hook your hook. All the lines are all 20 ft on each jug. The blue was 10 pds the flatheads 2 5 pds 1 4 pder and 1 1 pder. We didnt get up to the lake until late and we ran out of time to catch bream so we didnt get all our jugs out. I like fishing deep around rocks for the flatheads.VM

PS. as any times as i set jugs out in the lake we have only cought just a few channels cat. We must be fishing to deep for them . We mostly catch flatheads and blues. I have seen people fish short lines on there jugs and goldfish and catch them. But that is a good way too catch the Stripered bass. I just soon not to catch a fish as catch one of them.

Buddy of mine uses those noodles for the pool and cuts them about 3 feet long. Takes the line and wraps it around the noodle. Packs real good!

Most of the people that jug fish on the lake uses the noodles in color pink or orange. So i can paint my jugs a diff color and the jugs are free. VM

Didnt get to put the jugs out over the weekend my father in law bass boat. We had to put a water pump and a trim motor on the 150 h. But they took the river boat out last night i didnt go. And my wife and son and her dad my father inlaw caught 4 catfish. 1 blue and 3 flatheads. Not a one over 10 pds. VM
