Are any of you associated with your local Search and Rescue team? People who hunt, hike, geocache, and just enjoy the outdoors are valuable assets to a search team. If you guys are not , and you might be interested, I can help you get in contact with a team nearby. PM me or post your thoughts or feelings on SAR .

I did some of it years ago when I was a LEO. Helped with some drownings, & even a forrest fire. It's a rewarding job--helping people & familes who can't always help themselves. I admire anyone who gives of their time and talents in such ways.

Sounds like a good thing to me but I already have to many "irons in the fire". Being active in the Church is a priority along with being a Pee Wee football coach for one more year, and being a parent to a girl softball/ basketball player and a son that does football, baseball, and basketball, hardly no off season around here. Spring means fishing (or it used to anyway) and whitewater rafting and canoeing. Rasing bird dogs and deer hunting and hiking fall in line somewhere along with "this stupid message board" ,as the wife calls it, lawn and garden mantiance, and then last is being a husband.

With all that being said, I hand it to you guys that put in the time and sacrifice that it requires to help others.
