We were blessed today....the rain held off and we were able to shoot. As usual my score was than I had hoped but the fun score was very high! The banquet was a great sucess! We had 2 speakers of lengendary fame...the first was Ben Pearson Jr....son of the acclaimed Ben Pearson and following him was George Purvis...the gentlemen responsible for the 5 month bowseason that we now enjoy! The food was good and there was a bow given as a door prize. The shoot will continue tomorrow...hopefully the rain will hold off until the shoot is over. If you missed today, come tomorrow and enjoy the shoot. KD

I agree kd, the shoot was great even if my score wasn't. I didn't make it to the banquet as I had planned. I ran across a deer ham on the grill and some home made wine and from that point I was pretty pleased with where I was at.

Well its over again this year and beleive it or not there were 47 shooters to fight the rain this morning! I beleive there were 160 shooters on Sat. Thanks to everyone who braved the uncertain weekend....and hopefully you had a great time! There were some good and some not so good scores this weekend but everyone that I talked too throughly enjoyed all facets that they were involved in. There were some really nice door prizes today and some happy receipients! Mark your calendars now for the Roger Maynard Memorial Shoot on Memorial day weekend....the proceeds go toward the Roger Maynard scholarship fund. And check with your local club for their shoot dates....the local clubs need our support to ensure shoots for years to come! And in the process you will make some new friends! KD
