So you agree? I am guessing that cedar tree is 50 years old , what do you think? The tree had to come after the house was gone, so it was a long time ago?

Most of the old farms in this area were abandoned during the 1930s and 1940s. There are several old dug wells and piles of dirt where the chimney to houses are located. One old farm behind my house has stones piled like those in one of your pictures. Some of these old farms still have flowers that come out in the spring. At one old farm I dug up some daffodils and transplanted them to my yard. They are late bloomers and bloom after the newer varieties have died. Kind of neat to have flowers with a history.

Good pictures :thumb: , Is that Earls Branch down by Nimrod ? I need to get a good camera , cause I see lots of things that would make great pictures. There is a hill/bluff over looking the bottoms close to Mt George. That has rock walls / forified postions or something. I wondered who, when ,and for what purpose they where built. There is no longer a road close by , I found them years ago hunting.
