Metamorphisis:
SPLASH becomes SMOKEY !
It was late in the day when this epic event occoured.
A special envoy from the President of the United States traveled all the way from Washington DC to try to stop the depletion of the National Reserves of Black Powder !
Word had traveled rapidly to Washington where a Presidential staff meeting was hurridly called.
A WHC muzzleload hunter named SPLASH was rapidly depleting the national stock pile of black powder.
You could see it on the satelite images.
Weather patterns were effected.
Evacuations were underway down wind.
Astronauts took photos from outerspace of this epic occourence.
The state Department dispatched messengers to down wind nations and heads of state.
The word was out, . . . . SPLASH was trying to kill a deer !
Clouds of black powder smoke filled the Cossatott River valley, drifting across Arkansas to the South East .
The whole world could see, .. . . . . SPLASH was trying to kill a deer !
Satelite trucks began to arrive at the hunt club gates, . . . .all clamoring for a chance to film this monumental event as it unraveled.
Journalists were breaking out microphones, . . . cameras were whirring.
Cue cards were flashing.
SPLASH was trying to kill a deer.
Military observers in the Pentagon, via satelite link , were reporting that the buck had SPLASH on the run, and he was retreating up the hill towards his truck, to escape.
They soon discovered that SPLASH was only going for MORE POWDER AND BULLETS !
SPLASH soon rejoined the fray and eventualy destroyed the menacing monster buck.
The enviromental impact is still the subject of a congressional investigation !
You may remember that SPLASH got his first handle when he fell in a creek, breaking his ankle while recovering a buck.
After this latest chain of events and the resulting man made disaster, with its long lasting enviromental effects, SPLASH has became SMOKEY.
He is now required to notify FEMA when he is going hunting so they can stock pile emergency response supplies in the area.
>
Oh, yeah, great buck, . . . SMOKEY !
